As my first album length release, Journey is the biggest project I have started and finished. With features from talented Hannie and Linus Blad, childhood friend and music school classmate respectively, it was a larger scale than I’m used to.
It took almost a full year to finish the recording, but with some help from Rexius Records I managed to finish it up, now with my close friend Nikos Taramanidis playing soulful and genuine guitar on three out of seven tracks.
On release I found myself reviewed by Tom H at SoundThread, you can read the full review here.
By chance I met a Sofar Sounds host who invited me to play a few songs, and I invited Nikos along. We played completely unplugged for the most quiet audience I have faced, what an experience! One of the best gigs I have played to this day.
Journey is the spine of my songwriting, with songs such as To the Moon, Black and White and A Silent Promenade holding up even to my own standards.
